The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) has been awarded two prestigious international ISO certifications, ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, after successfully achieving global evaluation standards in quality, institutional excellence, and safe workplace practices. This achievement reflects SWA commitment to implementing best practices across several key areas, including strategic planning, efficient resource management, operational and technical performance improvement, and strengthened corporate governance. It also highlights SWA's adoption of advanced systems for managing risks and opportunities and its continuous efforts to enhance the work environment to ensure business continuity and safeguard its workforce. The ISO 9001:2015 standard is the world’s leading benchmark for quality management systems, focusing on optimizing operations and achieving stakeholder satisfaction. Meanwhile, ISO 45001:2018 serves as the primary international framework for occupational health and safety management, aimed at fostering safer workplaces and reducing potential accidents and risks. This milestone further cements SWA's position as a leading organization in the water sector, one that upholds global standards, continues to advance its operational and regulatory services, supports resource sustainability, and contributes to enhancing quality of life. It reaffirms SWA's ongoing commitment to adopting world-class standards in alignment with national development goals and the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.
