The Ministry of Tourism and the Saudi Water Authority (SWA) have carried out joint inspection tours of tourism hospitality facilities in the Madinah Region as part of an ongoing field campaign aimed at verifying water quality and safety, and ensuring the continued readiness of services provided to the pilgrims during the holy month of Ramadan.

The tours were launched last Monday, with 47 field inspection visits conducted so far under an integrated action plan designed to strengthen compliance and raise preparedness levels in hospitality facilities.

The tours come as part of coordinated efforts between the two entities. Inspection teams from the Ministry of Tourism are responsible for monitoring the compliance of hospitality facilities with approved regulations and requirements, while SWA’s technical teams supervise the examination of water supplies and tanks, collect and analyze samples in accordance with national drinking water quality standards, and verify compliance with health and technical requirements.

Both entities emphasized that these inspection activities represent proactive measures to enhance compliance levels and increase the reliability of water supplies within hospitality facilities. This contributes to providing a safe and healthy environment for the Guests of Allah and enables them to perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.

They also added that the scope of inspection tours will be expanded during the next phase to include additional cities and regions across the Kingdom, as part of a continued joint approach aimed at improving the quality and sustainability of tourism services in line with the highest standards.
