President of the Saudi Water Authority Congratulates the Kingdom’s Leadership on the Success of the 1447 AH Hajj Season

His Excellency Eng. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulkarim, President of the Saudi Water Authority, extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the successful completion of the 1447 AH Hajj season.
His Excellency affirmed that the success of this season reflects the wise leadership’s unwavering commitment to serving pilgrims and providing them with the highest standards of care and attention. He noted that the extensive capabilities and support provided by the Kingdom’s government entities played a vital role in delivering integrated services and enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease, comfort, and peace of mind.
He emphasized that the accomplishments achieved during the Hajj season were driven by strong institutional integration and effective coordination among the entities responsible for serving pilgrims. This collaborative approach ensured the seamless execution of operational plans while maintaining a high level of readiness and field performance throughout the season. In this context, His Excellency explained that the Water Ecosystem operated under comprehensive operational plans supported by early preparation, proactive planning, and continuous coordination among sector entities under the umbrella of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. These efforts were carried out with the direct support and oversight of His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, reflecting the strength of the sector’s infrastructure, the efficiency of its operational systems, and the expertise of national talent in managing operations and responding effectively to peak demand.
He noted that the Water Ecosystem entered the Hajj season with a high level of operational readiness and sufficient capacity to meet increased demand during peak periods. Daily production capacity reached 3.8 million cubic meters, transmission capacity exceeded 2.37 million cubic meters per day, and storage capacity reached 8.8 million cubic meters. Further highlighting the sector’s performance, His Excellency stated that the total volume of water distributed in Makkah and the Holy Sites from the beginning of Dhu Al-Hijjah through the tenth day exceeded 8 billion liters, underscoring the reliability and sustainability of water supply services throughout the season.
He also commended the efforts of all entities operating within the Water Ecosystem, along with their public- and private-sector partners, emphasizing that institutional integration and clear alignment of responsibilities were key factors in achieving high levels of efficiency and sustainability in water services during Hajj. His Excellency expressed his appreciation to all personnel working across the water sector for their dedicated field and technical efforts around the clock. Their commitment contributed significantly to enhancing service quality, ensuring the successful implementation of operational plans, and achieving the season’s objectives.
Concluding his statement, His Excellency emphasized that the success of the 1447 AH Hajj season demonstrates the Kingdom’s advanced capabilities in managing large-scale gatherings and operating critical infrastructure through an integrated institutional framework and sophisticated operational systems. He noted that these achievements reflect the continued support and guidance of the wise leadership and its commitment to providing pilgrims with the highest standards of service.
