Water Ecosystem Distributes More Than 5.5 Million Cubic Meters of Water in Makkah and the Holy Sites Since the Beginning of Dhu Al-Hijjah

The Saudi Water Authority announced that the volume of water distributed in Makkah and the Holy Sites from the first day through the seventh day of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1447 AH exceeded 5.5 million cubic meters.

The Authority indicated that the increase in water demand accompanying the arrival of pilgrims to the Holy Sites is being managed through an integrated operational system designed to provide reliable water services throughout the Hajj season. On the seventh day of Dhu Al-Hijjah alone, water distribution reached 849,895 cubic meters, compared to 821,132 cubic meters on the sixth day.

The production, transmission, and distribution entities within the Water Ecosystem continue to monitor operational indicators around the clock across all operational sites to ensure water quality and maintain the highest levels of operational readiness and service quality during peak demand periods in Makkah and the Holy Sites.

The Water Ecosystem also continues to coordinate with relevant entities to ensure the reliability of water services in Makkah. Distribution operations are carried out in accordance with integrated operational plans for the Hajj season, supported by advanced digital monitoring systems that enhance the efficiency and sustainability of water supplies, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.
