The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) called on owners and operators of bottled water filling stations to take the initiative to obtain licenses before the end of the phased launch period on March 31, as part of its efforts to regulate the activity of water filling stations and raise compliance with approved regulatory requirements.

SWA explained that the phased implementation of requirements for water filling stations, which has been in effect since last October, obliges station owners to complete licensing procedures through SWA’s website. This contributes to regulating the activity and strengthening adherence to regulatory obligations.

SWA noted that licensing requirements include fulfilling the conditions set out in the regulatory framework for water filling stations, ensuring compliance with approved technical and operational standards and contributing to improving the reliability of services provided within this activity.

SWA stressed the importance of owners and operators of water filling stations submitting licensing applications and reviewing the relevant requirements and procedures through its official website before the end of the current phase, in order to enhance regulatory compliance and ensure the sustainability of services in the water sector.
