The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) has launched an enforcement action to address water tanker violations, based on reports received through its official reporting channels.

The action targets violations involving unlicensed water tankers, tankers that fail to comply with the Authority’s approved branding and identification requirements, tankers exhibiting poor hygiene conditions such as dust or dirt accumulation, as well as water filling stations that continue to serve non-compliant tankers.

SWA stressed that such violations may pose risks to water supply integrity, public health, environmental safety, and road safety, underscoring the need for enforcement in accordance with applicable regulations.

It also noted that all reports are reviewed and verified through on-site inspections, followed by enforcement measures and regulatory action against violators, contributing to improved urban and service standards.

This initiative forms part of the Authority’s broader efforts to regulate off-network water services and enhance supply safety and service quality for beneficiaries.
