Organized by the Saudi Water Authority, the event brings together over 480 experts and speakers from more than 20 countries and more than 40 leading organizations in the water sector, including renowned universities and institutions.

Over the course of three days, the conference will feature the discussion of more than 180 research papers, shedding light on the latest innovations and sustainable solutions for water resource management. The opening ceremony will also include the announcement of the winners of the second edition of the Global Prize for Innovation in Desalination, honoring winning projects, sponsoring companies, and innovators in the water sector for their contributions to economic, social, or technological advancements that enhance quality of life and promote sustainability.

The conference will also host the launch of an accompanying exhibition showcasing innovative projects and the latest technologies in water desalination, treatment, and recycling. For the first time, the event will feature the launch of MiyahThon, a water innovation hackathon organized by the Saudi Water Innovation Center, under the sponsorship of the Saudi Water Authority and its research arm, the Water Technologies Innovation Institute and Research Advancements, in collaboration with several representatives from the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia.

The conference is expected to produce recommendations that promote innovation in water resource management, address sustainability challenges, and reaffirm Saudi Arabia’s leading position in the global water sector. This aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Through this conference, the Saudi Water Authority aims to highlight the transformative impact of innovation in driving sustainable growth and to underscore the Kingdom’s commitment to sustainability as a fundamental pillar of its vision across all sectors.
