H.E. President of the Saudi Water Authority (SWA), Eng. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulkarim, has announced the successful implementation of the operational plan for the water system during the Hajj season 1445AH. He extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, praising the efforts of the Saudi government under their wise leadership, which ensured the comfort and service of the pilgrims performing their rituals with ease and tranquility, following Allah’s guidance.

Al-Abdulkarim highlighted the support that the water sector receives from the royal leadership and the supervision and guidance of H.E. the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley. He also noted the integration of various sectors and their joint commitment to deploying all efforts and resources to ensure the security and sustainability of the water supply, particularly during the Hajj season.

The President expressed his gratitude to all the employees and officials in the water sector for successfully carrying out their duties according to this season’s operational plans. He pointed out that the water system’s success in contributing to the Hajj came alongside the efforts of all sectors and agencies in the Kingdom to serve the pilgrims.

He particularly acknowledged the ability of the water system to increase the production, transmission, and distribution capacity of water in Mecca and the Holy Sites to nearly 5 billion liters from the day of Tarwiyah until the 12th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, with exceptional reliability and quality.

Al-Abdulkarim extended his gratitude to all field workers from various sectors, commending their effective efforts in serving the pilgrims and empowering the water sector to fulfill its responsibilities in successfully managing the Hajj season.

He prayed for Allah to bless these efforts, for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ Hajj, and for the security and prosperity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its people.
