The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) has participated in the 1445AH Hajj Media Forum, which continued its events for 6 days until the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, to highlight the readiness of the water sector for this year's Hajj season, and underscore its efforts to serve the pilgrims and ensure a sustainable water supply in the Mecca region and the Holy Sites, all while upholding the highest standards and employing environment-friendly technologies.

SWA’s pavilion received visitors, including journalists and officials from around the world, to highlight its responsibilities in enhancing water security and addressing the future challenges in the water sector.

The pavilion showcased the roles of various key systems within the Saudi water system and their contributions to the success of this year's Hajj season. It also offered daily updates on the activities of these sectors and provided the necessary information, data, and statistics to the media to cover their accomplishments in efforts to enrich the media content for this Hajj season. This reflects the efforts of the Saudi government and its commitment to the comfort, safety of the pilgrims, and smooth performance of the Hajj rituals.

SWA's participation included distributing bottles of the world's first batch of desalinated seawater. This water was produced by the Shuaibah 4 Desalination Plant and enriched with magnesium using nano-technology and ultra-fine membranes. The forum welcomed visitors and provided all media services daily from noon until 8 PM.
